I took the survey, but I never eat granola bars--way too high in carbs for me. They sound nutritious, yet if the nuts are not soaked and the grain, if they are high in dried fruit, or have any processed ingredients or not raw--really not the breakfast of champions. For me.....eggs and bacon, and before anyone hates on me for eating meat--I tried the vegan, and the vegetarian thing for a long time. I felt horrible, my blood type is O, and I just can't metabolize carbs anymore at all. Quoting: stillhere My husband, my three sons and I are O's as well and learned long ago that carbs are like poison. Most of the limited carbs we eat are in the form of fruits and vegies. We eat hardly any grain like foods and when we do it is strictly dicots like buckwheat, quinoa, millet, or amaranth. Most of our protein comes from animals but in live form like raw milk products and pastured eggs. I make a soaked, raw, dehydrated granola that is 4 parts seeds/ nuts, 2 parts dried fruits, and one part grain ( buckwheat).
