I use a 20 litre bucket at night in the winter because yurts don't have toilets, and I don't feel like getting out in the -20deg. temps. just to go pee. It takes too long to get on enough clothes so I don't freeze when I'm out. It's much easier this way.
The chamber pot can be emptied in the morning.
Refresh the stove heater, then back to bed.
