Just is right next to the moon, aldebaran is just south of the two of them.

I believe its Jupiter, Easy way to tell, Twinkle twinkle= star, solid non twinkle light = planet.

Stars flash RGB (red green blue). If they are on the immediate horizon then they stay one colour (red) untill they get above the atmosphere from where you are observing, then they start to flash.

wow, maybe it's the vino, but none of them appear to be twinkling tonight.

Yes, it's a reddish star south of Jupiter and the moon in the sky right now. Aldebaran is the "eye" of the bull in constellation Taurus.

It does look really nice. Right above the moon too!
