Doesn't the ubuntu volume just show up as a mounted partition? I would think you could just copy from one to another. Just would need to make sure the encrypted home folder got mounted. This might help.
I've never used one but think I might after this. The place I used to work implemented bitlocker on all laptops.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28686622 well since it's a bootable OS the whole file system shows up and you navigate into the home folder and instead of /joe and then my media it has these two files one is a readme and the other looks like the encryption system file but neither are executable although I didnt have the password set then but there was no interface just those 2 files Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28647427 So you're talking about the usb ubuntu drive with your data on it, right? If so, it should just mount unless the home folder was encrypted too. In that case the other link might help. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28686622 I'm sorry , I know its confusing . Im on ubuntu then I goto the mint drive thats mounted first thing I see is the mint file system then goto home folder which is encrypted that has the two files and I cant access the music , picture ect folders to make the transfer from the media in ubuntu to mint. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28647427 Sounds like you need to mount the encrypted fs. try the other link.
