Mix together some Drakes Seasoned Flour with cornstarch 50% / 50% ratio. Dust the Chicken, fry it in oil. In a pan heat up some sweet and sour sauce. Add Rice Wine Vinegar. And Broccoli if you want. Serve with rice. Its really easy actually. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 22243884 Malta 11/29/2012 04:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into bite size pieces Half c brown sugar 1-2 T soy sauce 2 cloves garlic minced 1 T corn starch mixed with 2 T water 1-2 green onion chopped 2-3 T vinegar 1 C flour 1 beaten egg Pinch of Salt 5.5 oz orange juice (1 small can Donald Duck brand oj) Heaping spoonful orange marmalade Pinch of Pepper 1.5 c chicken broth Peanut oil Method Chicken coating Flour Salt Pepper Egg Roll chicken pieces in seasoned flour shaking off excess flour Dip chicken pieces into beaten egg Roll chicken pieces in seasoned flour a second time shaking off excess flour Deep fry chicken pieces in peanut oil till golden brown Drain on paper towel Sauce Chicken broth Soy sauce Vinegar Orange juice Scoop of orange marmalade Bring to boil Add garlic cook 5 minutes Add brown sugar simmer 3-5 minutes Add chopped green onions Add cornstarch slurry bring to boil Add fried chicken to sauce, stir and cook 3-5 minutes reducing sauce to desired consistency Serve with steamed jasmine rice, fried rice or whatever you like |

It because you dont have the proper equipment. A Wok gets much hotter then a normal saute pan. The metal is thinner, and they use more flame. It gives the food something known as the Wok-a flavor. It has to do with the Millard Effect. |
