Is this merely genetic mutation?
Quoting: Milo Jeeder 28700278 Evolution at work I would guess. The average human both male and female are growing taller over time and eventually I'm guessing that the human body would have to adapt somehow in order to maintain the increase in height. This could be by bones becoming longer or in the case of the spine, perhaps an extra vertebrae. Over the generations there have always been sudden jumps in evolution. Perhaps this is one of them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28702045 never thought that it had to do with height but at 6' 5" and with my extra pair of neck ribs, you may have a point.
