actually op, i paint with egg têmpera and i have to harvest yolk. i use the traditional hand to hand wash to remove the white, and i never saw this until today.

I saw this a few weeks ago and tried it the other day with friends over for dinner when the yolk accidentally fell into the egg wash. You would have thought I pulled a million dollar lottery ticket out of my pocket! Either my friends are too easily entertained or this little trick is the universal solution to a small global problem. Probably the former but I have GLP to thank for my new-found popularity! :)
