Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1020585 I recieved a cease and desist email from my ISP several years ago...stopped downloading for a bit, but eventually went back to it. The ISP didnt give a fuck before but now they are just willing to release your info to these people so they can send you a litigation letter from the US. |

The Isp's didn't really want to get into the business of being the data cops. When you sign an agreement with an Isp your supposed to abide by their terms of service without having someone slap your hands all the time. To bad that doesn't work well in the real world! |

Many video stores have closed, movie subscriptions from cable companies only offer selected lineups, and it will get much harder to find unapproved government/corporate movies. It's about trying to control the flow of information... Even he NWO is now stating that the internet influence is bogging down their plans. The fact that they are admitting to this is an indicator that they intend to do something about it. |

If all was illegal, the isps should have to by law, remove all content they provide which is illegal. I don't understand how the isp can provide an illegal service in the first place to then flag its own clients as thieves. In the end, its the isps data, not the customers. Quit pinching the working man and giving him cookie crums to a hefty trap, in this case a 5000 fine and jail time. If its such an issue fix it, idiots. |

Like you said it's to lure us all into committing the "illegal act", they won't fix shit by blocking the content. |
