Re: Can MDMA heal?
An MDMA experience can soften depression, anxiety, and PTSD..with a lasting effect.. it can sort of "put things in perspective".

There are some scientific papers and published findings in journals if you bother to google search, for the most part it's shown great promise in the field of PTSD treatments.

Re: Can MDMA heal?
It's a good time. Set and setting are super important. And if you get pure MDMA and use responsibly its not very harmful.

At the very least its not particularly dangerous.

Re: Can MDMA heal?
MDMA is the most powerful of the psycho-stimulants, and is well capable of dredging up long-entrenched dissonances of the psyche. Additionally, as an 'entactogen' drug, MDMA renders the user exceptionally interested in, and willing to deal with, those dissonances.

Psychedelics can do this as well; however, the major advantage of entactogens over psychedelics is that users tend to remain fully integrated with standards of normal communication, and can easily converse with "sober" attendants.

So really, MDMA is ideally used with a good psychiatrist to guide thought processes. It can exert it's healing power on solitary users; however, hidden mental dissonances tend to remain hidden in the normal context of MDMA usage in contemporary society; that is, when people are dancing like a machine to bizarre raver beats, they are unlikely to be considering what "went wrong" in their perceptions of the world.

It is possible that MDA may turn out to be better than MDMA for psychiatry. As MDA retains most of the properties of MDMA, yet is also a full-fledged psychedelic drug, one might imagine it might be even better than MDMA at correcting old cognitive dissonances. MDA is also significantly less useful as a "party" drug due to its psychedelic properties.

It should be noted that MDMA is one of the few common drugs that actually demonstrates the potential for nerve damage: as a triple releaser, MDMA can induce oxidative damage to the monoaminergic neurons.

MDMA primarily releases serotonin and catecholamines from serotonergic nerve terminals: once the serotonin in the cell is depleted, the cell begins uptake of L-tyrosine and L-dopa; as catecholamines flood the serotonergic nerve terminals, further stressing of those circuits occurs; the oxidative metabolites of neurotransmitters begin damaging the cells.

Luckily MDMA nerve damage has never properly been observed under conditions of normal use; MDMA induced damage appears at this point to be purely hypothetical, or perhaps emerges only when severe bodily stress is also present; for example, when users do not eat or drink while dancing.

But short answer, yes, it can heal.

It should be noted that MDMA was placed in Schedule 1 despite the unanimous voting of medical and scientific committees that it should remain legal, or, in Schedule 3, so it can be easily prescribed by psychiatrists.

But nope... guess the "powers that be" felt those scientists and doctors nothing more than a bunch of smelly hippies...

Re: Can MDMA heal?
some of the best times of my life involved mdma.

- B.C.'s top health official says taking pure ecstasy can be "safe" when consumed responsibly by adults, despite warnings by police in Alberta and British Columbia about the dangers of the street drug after a rash of deaths.

There is nothing "bizarre" about rave music.

It is actually the best music to use MDMA on.

Just the best times of my life were dancing on extasy!

Period.

Heh, all the more power to ya mate. To each their own ya know?

By the way though... with the history of mankind's music as a backdrop... rave music is indeed quite bizarre lol. I didn't mean it is a negative aspect. All of my favourite things are bizarre, in fact!

...

By the way...

If you want the above sentiment to remain true...

NEVER... and I mean NEVER...

...combine MDMA and/or psychedelics, with an opioid drug. ;)
