One idea I've heard people talking about is to buy a cheap "drop" gun. Some police carry them. They're small and easily concealable, and can be "dropped" any time you find yourself in a sticky situation that requires a diversion or a scapegoat.

When the Gestapo shows up demanding your 'guns', tell them all you have is this one gun, and give the drop gun to them. It'll be a sacrificial diversion from your primary stash.

If you were unfortunate enough to have filed the proper paperwork and have submitted to background checks for some of your past firearm purchases, then you'll need to show them receipts and other supporting documents, like newspaper ads, where you advertised the sale of, and subsequently sold off, all your guns that they show in their master B@TF3 database (that doesn't exist.)

I'm from Montana. We're of the same mindset as Texans, but we don't have border drug problems. Our problem is all the outsiders coming in and wanting to change it into wherever they came from. It's running all the old folks out of their lakefront multi-generation owned land. Elected officials smell money so they jack up property taxes and the out-of-staters come and buy it up for summer homes. We're notorious for not warming up to outsiders for these reasons.

Then you've got both coasts trying to make environmental decisions shutting down our way of life- when we've been the stewards to preserve a balance of responsible harvesting of resources and wildlife, making it the great place it is. It's not like the old days of clear cutting and the Berkley Pit, but they think they know what's best for us bumpkins.

Montana is 1 of 24 states that allow amendments to our constitution and other legislation by petition. Once we had a bunch of crooked county officials sneaking in a bunch of fees, regs and policy. IE: all cars over 20 years old were classified as antique jacking up the registration fees. You could be hauling wood in the back of an old station wagon and have to pay it. We got enough petitioners, voted out all the unpopular stuff and they had to reverse/refund everything. Then we voted the assholes out next election. Cost the county a lot, but it was a valuable lesson to our "public servants." Other states just bitch about what the government is doing to them. We change it! We Montanans won't stand for a power grab. Let em try and impose gun control in our state!!

You guys do realize we are currently the only state in the USA that has a positive economy right now? Not only is our economy positive but we have many plans in motion to continue a positive environment. We are tripling our oil production. We are tripling our natural gas mining. Our army is getting modernized. We are rebuilding most of our major highways. Their is 100's of new housing developments. Businesses everywhere are moving their corporate offices here. The people here are actually very nice people except when you try to take their guns.

Our police are actually pretty good as well. They are tough fuckers but they are polite generally. I'm just saying don't think Texas is Red-Neck Haven anymore because it has evolved greatly.

I agree with you totally!!! I love it here in Texas, and I just don't understand all the hostility towards us Texans... The only thing I can think of is that maybe they are jealous of all that we have here.

It's jealousy, envy, and libtards being slapped in the face with the undeniable, repeatable fact that Democrat states running under Democrat governors implementing Democrat policies are unmitigated failures of epic, nation-ending proportions.

We really don't take any crap from anyone here.And what's funny to me is, here there alot of gun owners, but the guns are mostly for protection and hunting. Most here aren't buying the guns to go out and kill someone. Seems like in most of the Democraptic states, people buy guns to go out and kill someone, and probably didn't buy the gun legally either.

I think the split is less about geography than it is demographics. I live in a northern suburb of Pittsburgh, and once you get outside the liberal enclaves where the universities are and what not, I can tell you there are many people here angry and worried about what is happening.

Most of Pennsylvania west of the Susquehanna River feels the same way, as this is country where most school districts have off for the first day of hunting season. Much of it is poor, but many rely on coal or natural gas jobs, and remember manufacturing, and did not like and do not trust Obama.

Moreover, they want to be left alone, from Harrisburg and it's Philadelphia thugs, and Washington. So, should things develop, there'll be lots of rural places not just in this state, but in many places that are sympathetic.

So Texas wouldn't be alone. The sad thing about these secession movements is that no one really wants to break up the United States, what they want is to restore it to its foundations and break up this government of bureaucrats and liars from both sides.
