it's no different than the European Euro, the old German Deutsche Mark or French Franc or British Pound (all coins). American is always behind. We already have a 1$ coin so wtf ditch the worthless paper bill. at least i can take a coin to the scrap yard and cash it in when the us dollar tanks. Kinda like when copper pennies and nickles were worth more as scrap metal.
