OP, I think you are on the right track... you just might want to research the luciferian deception and the testimonies of people who have been part of it...

the way it appears to me is we get two basic choices: service and love for others and God or service and love for self and lucifer--this latter one comes in many flavors and appearances, but feels the same, by degrees and includes "alien abductions" and "ascended masters"...
