The age of the earth is one thing, and I like Kent Hovind's research a lot. Irrespective, no one can call the big bang 'theory' science, and no one can call macro-evolution (one species evolving in to a completely new species)science either. They are theories, because no one has even witnessed or recorded matter appearing out of nothing, and non one has witnessed or recorded a species evolve in to a brand new species - it doesn't happen. Scientists can claim it takes millions and billions of years to happen, but it's conjecture, it's theoretical. Where did all the matter for this earth come from?? Quoting: Jerichofall
“A little science estranges men from God, but much science leads them back to him.” – Louis Pasteur
“In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognise, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what makes me really angry is that they quote me for support of such views.’ – Albert Einstein
“To suppose that the eye, with all of its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree.” – Charles Darwin, The Origin of Species
“Although the tiniest bacterial cells are incredibly small, weighing less than 10-12 grams, each is in effect a veritable mico-miniaturised factory containing thousands of exquisitely designed pieces of intricate molecular machinery, made up altogether of one hundred thousand million atoms, far more complicated than any machinery built by man and absolutely without parallel in the non-living world.” Molecular Biologist Michael Denton
“There is not a shred of objective evidence to support the hypothesis that life began in an organic soup here on earth…So why do biologists indulge in unsubstantiated fantasies in order to deny what is so patently obvious, that the 200,000 amino acid chains, and hence life, did not appear by chance?” Frederick Hoyle
“An increasing number of scientists, most particularly a growing number of evolutionists… argue that Darwinian evolutionary theory is no genuine scientific theory at all.. Many of the critics have the highest intellectual credentials.” Michael Ruse, New Scientist (article)
“…according to the law of inertia the rotation of the planets spinning off from the big bang should be conserved, spinning the same direction. At the very least, the moons of planets should be orbiting in the same direction. This, however, is not the case. The best answer provided to support this absurdity of logic and scientific reason is that certain scientists have claimed that they are allowed to exercise sovereignty over the laws of science when they deem appropriate. I am not making this up.” – Jason W Pratt, aero-space engineer (and former atheist).
We may share 96% our genetic makeup with a chimpanzee… However, the 4% difference of the 3 billion base pairs of DNA in every cell, represents 120,000,000 entries in the DNA code that are different. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes while chimps have 24 so the DNA isn’t as similar as you may have been lead to believe. We also share about 50% of our DNA with bananas and that doesn’t make us half bananas. – Steven Jones, Geneticist
You don't understand the proper definition of the word "theory" do you?
