Military tankers and support aircraft often fly racetrack patterns routinely. Doesn't mean they're spraying anything (or even capable of it).
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28466908 So you are saying military tankers and support aircraft flew in circles for at least 200 miles (that I know of) from Scotland to South Yorkshire over cities and airports and through commercial air traffic lanes? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28754062 Yes, that is also a standard flight path for an AWACS aircraft. These aircraft in use are on "station" and not flying to a destination at that time. Flight levels are divided by 1000 foot intervals and yes they can be assigned a flight level within an air traffic lane. Quoting: G. House I see AWACS often and they usually fly in the same circle for an hour or so then head of to another destination, never have I seen an AWAC do this. Here is one right above my home.
