It's a 100% certainty that ebay will. B) absolutely fucking OUTRAGEOUS C) yes, but ebay will probably find a way to charge you for that too. ebay is the spawn of satan. |

The cars looked good but had over 260K miles on them....... I disclosed almost every flaw that was important but.... One car had to be relisted because the dumb ass was 1000 miles away and couldn't pick it up. The second car was a black 525 with a 5 speed, no rust.. very desirable car but the asshole who won the bid complained and complained. I knocked off $300.00 to shut him up. You have to disclose EVERYTHING, even how much gas is in the tank. people are real picky about buying a used car with over 260K miles on it. Go figure. |

Poker User ID: 28633896 United States 11/29/2012 06:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You get 6 or 7 free car listings a year. If you car sells for less than $2000 your Final Value Fee will be $60; sell for over $2000 and your FV Fee will be $150. Be careful with car auctions as opposed to eBay's Classifieds because eBay's car auctions do not require the highest bidder to follow through with purchase. A lot of assholes will bid on a car just for the hell of it. I know from past experience trying to sell my cars. Good Luck on there. |

somany toasters User ID: 25841537 United States 11/29/2012 06:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I experienced no problems and sold my car within 2 weeks of listing it for sale. Anonymous Coward User ID: 23017670 United States 11/29/2012 06:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why would you sell the car on eBay when 99% of the bidders will be too far away for a local pick up, eBay will charge you 20% or more in fees off the top of the sale price, and the fact that site is now infested with people that take advantage of good sellers by hiding behind ridiculously slanted polices that enable crooked buyers to get away with just about anything? List on Craigslist! It's free, it's local, you can settle the deal the old fashioned way... with a handshake. |

CrimsonBleu User ID: 24534482 United States 11/29/2012 07:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I also sold a Camaro. Guy came from Alabama to get it, and the third, I was living in VA, sold a Honda Accord....my sons car, the buyer came from PA to get it. Listing fees and such were all less then 150.00 each deal. No biggie. I see no problem with Ebay. Just use lots of pics and mention EVERYTHING that a potential buyer would want to know and make sure when he picks the car up there was nothing left out of the listing that he can refuse the car for. If there is, make things right for them. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 18713240 United States 11/29/2012 07:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I almost bought a BMW 525i on ebay a few years ago for cash from an auto dealer here in NY. I literally was getting ready to leave work to pay for and pick up the car (I'd already put it on my car insurance), when the dealership calls me up and says guess what, we sold your car, but we have another car that is more expensive but you'll really like. I flipped out I spent a lot of time researching a car to buy and had narrowed it down to this one and only wanted to pay cash as I don't like tohave car loans. Now they see I can pay cash they want me to put a down payment on a much more expensive car because they knew I could afford it. They thought I was kidding when I said that's it I was done. They kept calling me for days apologizing - I mean I won the auction, they promised me I'd get the car, and then tell me to go ahead and insure it and to come pick it up - and last minute they say oops we sold it, but we got another car twice as expensive but it's no big deal for you, you can afford it... So I ended up going to craiglist and bought a car from a private buyer. I was very satisfied with my purchase and paid cash as I wanted. Craiglist is really good for cars - just AVOID dealers. |
