General question for Christians - Is there such a thing as a Church Year and if so - when does it begin?

There are Calander systems that is based upon the Church beliefs, like the Coptic Christians in Egypt and Ethiopi where they celebrate every New Year on Septemer 11th for instance... but there is no official Church Year...

First off the Pope has never and never be able to change Christianity. Nor does the Pope repersent Christianity.

Christians follow teachings of Christ, not the traditions of man.

As for Christmas

1) Jesus was not born in December, he was born in September probably around 3 BC
2) the word Mas means celibration of Death

I agree that Jesus was born sometime in the fall.

For the person that said there were no animals there, I disagree. There had to have been critters around such as donkeys and sheep as the Blessed Mother was brought in on a DONKEY. That was their main form of transportation (the poor) of that time.

The bulk of the bible predates Rome, much of it was written some 3000 years ago and was preserved by Jews down the years. The protestants got their bible from non-vatican sources, they had to, the vulgate was so corrupted....

Since Jesus was invented by Constantine,as an adjunct to a christianity of pagan deities (Mithra, Isis Celebes etc.) perhaps he did 'found' the one great deceit... the RC 'church'

Even the idea of the church is a gross distortion of the Greek 'ekklesia' - called out assembly, the first of which was at mount Horeb to receive the TORAH!
