I rather mankind be as it was created to be. Imperfect, but ever striving to understand his universe through the cerebral cortex he's been blessed with.

After all, Christian demands that we become "childlike" or "animal-like" and asks us to ignore the logic and reasoning we've been allowed to possess, in favor of mindless "faith" in a Hebrew god who proves himself violent and capricious in the Old Testament.

You are hilariously ignorant of both Jewish and Christian spirituality.

Worry about yourself, have a genuine self-interest.
 Quoting: AC 360 28544497

Apparently religitards are only serving their master because they desire the riches of heaven, or they're scared of being tossed into an eternal barbecue.

I'm sure your god will look favorably on your obsession with "self-interest" and "worrying about yourself".
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9788321

If you serve the right Master, you will serve others.
'When did I see you in prison and visited you - when you visited the least of my brothers.

Self-interest is the commonality that binds all men (don't pretend you don't have it when it's a part of all of our natures). We come to God out of self-interest, He transforms us slowly through faith and we become useful to others.

People who think they are selfless very often get discouraged with good works when they realize that their values (no God, no rewards, no Eternity, faith in humanity) don't line up with the thanklessness and utter godlessness that they may encounter. They may encounter occasional encouragement and then shut themselves up quicker than you can say Ebenezer Scrooge.

Discourage faith in others and you are discouraging good works for years to come. Is it worth it? Especially if a friend or relative of yours might come on this receiving end of faith?

It is not Christian demands, but demands of Christ to be childlike in dependence upon God like He was. Not being childlike in avoiding responsibility or diving into sin. Animal-like is never prescribed by God, that would be Darwin's department. As for the mind, there is only one who has the mind that has always existed. Wouldn't he have the experience to show us the way so as to avoid useless mental constructs built by finite men and the impulses of supernatural evil? Faith is not even close to mindless. Jesus had the best mind and the most perfect faith: He shows that they are not mutually exclusive. You have simply bought into the lie that these cannot exist together because of some bad religious examples.

Beloved, I chat with him every day. I also visit his ship often. I sit often in his presence, we share at a table. He is very real. And returned. and he never taught the shit that is in the churches nor did he start a church. He and together founded the 2nd Coming Organization AbundantHope. We are not a belief system, we are the group that is going to govern this planet into the stage of LIght and Life. OH please, what TRASH you have just written. That is not what it means to be childlike. Look at the child. He has not yet been formed heavily by his culture. He is still free. He is curious. He asks WHY all the time.

We do not need babies who need to be bottle fed by organized religion. Christ called for Mature Spirit. There in only one that has the mind of Creator or whatever you just said. NO NO NO NO and NO.

Mind and Faith as you say are not mutually exclusive, in Fact they are necessary to become a spiritual adult, a God Conscious person, but you definition of child like sucks big time.

No one with half a brain is an Atheist, or any other religion.

The wise man is one who admits he knows nothing about the nature of God.

I believe there is a God, just not the moronic Old Testament interpretation.

I have no preconceived notions of who it is or what it's nature is all about.

I'll find out someday! Or maybe I won't, it doesn't really matter. I'm not scared of burning in hell if the hebrew god exists, because that would only prove that a bastard god created a bastard creation and condemned that creation to eternal torment like a bastard.

I did not say bible "knowledge", I mean one who has gained great wisdom because great wisdom is of God and the 5d Conscious man on up, is one who knows GOD within HIm, and has developed cosmic consciousness. I would suggest OP you ought to be reading some Walter Russell.

Re: Why do religious people consider "faith" a virtue?
Those with living faith do not do man's religions, for they know God within them. And these who follow blindly are still quite lacking in "faith."

Jesus gave a simple statement. He said anyone with even a mustard seed of faith, could say to the Mountain, Move into the sea and it would. That is FAITH. These ones don't have it. The allow the antichrist everything he requests. That we are still in the MIddle EAst after the very obvious 911 is proof. There is no faith in these groups. They believe in destruction and that God wants it. which is BS. So they have used their combined efforts to do NOTHING OF GOD.

Don't get me wrong. I do FEEL (what I perceive to be) GOD.

I feel love that is beyond comprehension or understanding.

HOWEVER, I'm not going to suddenly claim I truly know what those sensations are. That would only lead to more foolish endeavors such as ideologies and religions.
