Ice-age has hit here
Yesterday, we had hail, tomorrow is the first day of summer, today is cold and pouring with rain.
Anecdotal evidence maybe, but these cold fronts are spinning in straight from Antartica.
I think these climate changes that we're seeing in my area will actually improve agriculture for the future, watching my vegies get watered for free :)

Though it is making me a bit cranky, a taste of summer earlier in the week, only to be stuck indoors, ho hum, will have to do something productive, damn it.

Hummmmery interesting. The poles must be shifting faster then expected
It is better to let the world go out of control so they can see their own fate just as I did 20 years ago

Usually we are are below-zero centigrade (20's-F) in December, today was 13C (55F).
Tomorrow 60F is forecast.
This season is shaping up a lot like 2000/2001, the only year I ever golfed in December.

Maybe our weather is linked to solar cycles?

I think so, but maybe not so much to the 11 year cycles as the millennial ones, the magnetosphere certainly responds to solar activity, it stands to reason that the antarctic vortex
responds in turn, to magnetic field fluctuations.

Happy December golfing!

Re: Ice-age has hit here
Weather here is still unusual, it has been hot and humid, day after day, but back to much cooler conditions now.

My two vegie gardens are doing well, and I'm eating out of them, will post pics on my blog soon.

My daughter is eating out of them too, and she is starting to lose weight, and tolerating some degree of control over her eating, my strategies are working, and for the first time in a long time, I'm feeling hopeful about her future :)

Re: Ice-age has hit here
It has been the longest stretch of hot, humid weather ever

(anecdotally superlative ;)

even the nights are hot, more people than ever are sitting outside sipping cold beer
is this a sign of the end?

They tried to cull a few sharks in Margaret River, ended up with a bay full of berley and no sharks, my nephew told me they can swim below 130 m for days and days along deep currents,
in these parts, we just don't think about it
it would ruin the surfing.

(I'm going surfing today with my nephew, shark block active)

It was bizarre, talking to Ossie bloke in north Queensland, him in thermals due to cold and me sweating in the early morning..
its all back-to-front
and I like it.

Last year in Phoenix I turned my heat on once. This year it's been on for 3 weeks. It's getting old.
