Sooo..NYC Fast Food Workers Went On Strike. Want a Union.

sure man..maybe 15 years ago that was true..before millions of fair wage jobs went bye-bye permanently.

these days those jobs are vital to families everywhere.
show a little respect for them.

Everybody knows that fast food jobs are low-paying part time jobs, except for maybe management. The jobs are for the young or the retired. It cracks me up that these people now want to make them full-time careers! It's like the Walmart employees, they knees what kind of job they were getting.

If you want MORE....then go to SCHOOL learn a TRADE or get a useful DEGREE and make more money with an actual CAREER.

Wow, some of the most hateful threads I seen. Why does this site never try to see both sides. So much NO NO NO i dont want to give anything at all; but i need more more more.

Im going on a limb and saying most of the hateful posters are over 50 and have a good job that they got a while ago.

Let me let you in on a secret from a person with a Masters degree in accounting. Wanting to pay me $14.50 starting out in this area. Its a joke. Almost all of the NEW jobs for the 18-30 year olds are MORE work and LESS pay then when you started. I made more Working in Highschool as a manager than I do know as an accountant with a degree.

Times are changing for you older people. Get with the times or be left behind/ran over. We are not going to be slaves to your system of greed.

Man has a point. The industrial career jobs were sold out from under us. All that's left are catch-22's, you need the $70,000 piece of paper to get the higher paying job, which you can't afford unless you plunge yourself into debt.

Then again I make $3000 a month off an online business with minimal work (it was hard as hell at first, until I built it up to where it was a system) a GED and no college education. So fuck all that shit.

I'm not sure how many of you are from NYC, but I live here & at these fast food joints, it's nothing but a bunch of lazy, rude and idiotic minorities. I very seldom eat at McDonalds, but when I do my order is always wrong & I end up wasting an hour due to a moron who cannot count cheeseburgers.

Some of people crack me up... You really think fast food workers should be making $15 an hour??? You want to reward delinquents and dropouts by paying them a good wage? Lets give dropouts a good paying job! For the last 50 years or so everybody has known that fast food places are low-paying part-time jobs. They're for high school kids, college kids, or retirees who want to work part time. If you wanted a better paying job then perhaps you should have made better decisions in your life. If you're going to complain that there is no jobs out there then maybe you shouldn't have voted for more of the same bullshit. They call him the welfare president for a reason.
