Anonymous Coward User ID: 28751060 United States 11/30/2012 12:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My son is bald. He just shaves his head, and he looks terrific to me. My relatives all think he is the greatest! People who love you don't care about your hair or lack of it. So don't worry about it. If they love you, they love you anyway. If they don't, then they wouldn't really love you if you had a head full of hair. You are what you are. If somebody gasps or doesn't approve of your appearance, then what they think really shouldn't matter to you. All of us have defects of some kind. People accept or reject them. Maybe they have the problem---not you. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 21926154 United States 11/30/2012 12:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i noticed the last time i shaved my head it isn't coming back as thick. so i think the reason people go bald is getting it cut too short too often. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25127309 It gets thick and then gets thin. Trust me. Like the tides. But if it's getting thinner overall, it will eventually get to bald. I think that is the scam on how a lot of these 'cures' for baldness work. It doesn't matter when you apply it. Your hair will eventually get thicker for a bit... ...and then it will get thinner. And that isn't the only problem in my life guys. It is just such a ridiculous problem to have. I wish my family wasn't shallow... but... they are INCREDIBLY SHALLOW. Every family gathering is an endless discussion of everyone's slightest flaws. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28497353 Australia 11/30/2012 12:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So, I started balding three years ago. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21926154 Thing is... apparently I got the gene from my dad. Because when I go to holidays with that side of the family, almost everyone is bald. But on my mother's side. No one is bald. Now... I'm only really close with my mother's side. I go there for holidays mostly. When I first started balding my hair was just thinning a bit. So I shaved my head with clippers. It turned out it looked good on me, because I'm very fit. As time progressed I started wearing caps and hats. Now... I have a definite bald spot on top of my head. Thing is, last time anyone on my mother's side saw my head I had a thick luxurious head of hair. So... now I'm in this ridiculous situation of having to like... 'come out of the closet' with my baldness. Now, the longer I wait. The worse it will get. In my mind I can see a day like two years from now when I take off my hat, and as the light reflects off my chrome dome, there will be a loud collective gasp, and my grandmother will drop dead from shock. Just thought I'd share my ridiculous self-inflicted situation with you guys. Get your mind off doom for a second. No offence OP but with all the fucked up shit going on in the world you are worried that you are near bald ? Seriously, who cares if you are as smooth as or a hairy ape. Bald men are hot. Don`t worry about it and who gives a shit what anyone else thinks. There is more to be worried about at the moment than going smooth on top |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 4959545 United States 11/30/2012 12:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | start taking a copper supplement everyday, it will take 3 or 4 months to notice results. Im a female, but when I used to wash or brush my hair, so much would fall out it would scare me. I read its due to copper deficiency. I started taking a copper pill everyday, and now in the shower a few strands will wash out, but nothing like before. It took a few months to see results but it really worked. Im glad that problem is solved for me cuz female baldness is not cool. I have no idea how it will work for men. |

Ours is due to testosterone and to much of it the poofy little fuzzy hair boys with no hair on their chest are part FEMALE |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1130777 Japan 11/30/2012 01:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I read the title of your thread, I thought I would open it and find something like: Sickness, insanity, incest, crime, homelessness, financial troubles, kids in trouble, crazy abusive parents, eviction, violence, etc. I'm glad I didn't. I'm glad I only saw "baldness." But even though I'm glad you don't have any real problems, you should get a sense of perspective about what a "horrible situation" is. |
