Rocks are made of atoms and they are not life. |

So the creator entity was also a gifted bio-engineer..... The idea that "billions of Years" can produce these effects is now getting a bit worn and weary, so the current idea is that planet earth was 'seeded' in some way. However that only moves the problem further into fantasy land as whoever the aliens were who seeded the planet, we have as yet failed to detect them. However, if we look out of the window, cows are still giving birth to cows and dogs to dogs, plant a daffodil bulb and you will get a daffodil, that is the measurable science, the rest is 'speculative' science because it cannot be measured. Even more fantastic than DNA, when we find the mechanism, will be the mapping that tells the cells how to bind together to form the relevant lifeform and its organs. DNA contains the information to build proteins, but there must be another, even more complicated source of information the tells the cells how to bond together to form body parts etc. That mechanism will be the make or break for neo-darwinian evolution. Zedakah User ID: 25719696 United States 11/30/2012 12:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | DNA is just the blueprint for building proteins. The proteins are the real key to life, but we haven't discovered any protein-based life that is not assembled without DNA or RNA. Viruses are just rogue DNA/RNA molecules that replace a cell's dna with their own. Prions are misshapen proteins that act like viruses, yet they are just one single protein without DNA. They enter a normal living cell and cause protein synthesis to copy their form. This is the type of disease as Mad Cow Disease, and there is no known cure. So there is a pattern of non-living "organisms" that interact with cellular function with or without the presence of DNA. RNA is the hypothesized evolutionary precurser to DNA, as it is basically a simpler form of DNA. On 8 August 2011, a report, based on NASA studies with meteorites found on Earth, was published suggesting building blocks of DNA and RNA (adenine, guanine and related organic molecules) may have been formed extraterrestrially in outer space. |

Wherever it came from, that entity had a near miraculous knowledge of bio-chemistry, and how long chain amino acids can be created and folded to do all the tasks in the cell. I've been thinking a lot lately about exactly what you've posted here. How, why, what forces - bring all these components together to form a living organism? From sub-atomic particles, atoms, molecules, cells, organs, on and on. Randomness or chance can't account for it could it? Cells have intelligence, could that intelligence go to the molecular, atomic, and sub-atomic levels? What's below the sub-atomic level...infinity? As above so below? Your body contains many different types of molecules that form the working parts, such as cells, as well as substances produced by some of those parts, such as hormones. [link to www.dummies.com] |

This is where spirituality comes in. Accepting that creation is the missing spark, intelligent, plan, map, guiding force. We all have it, everything has a little bit of it. If we find the correct vibration and desire for this creation mechanism, as you see it, driving DNA, we can evolve and be truly happy spirits in whatever lifeform or vibration. |

The same sequence of base pairs is interpreted differently by different organisms. Sure, the backbone proteins -- when you strip off the stop codons and so on -- are almost identical across all terrestrial life. But even that doesn't get you FUNCTIONAL proteins...because what our cells need also has a topology. And the information for how to fold each protein is not in the same place as the string of base pairs. DNA did evolve, or rather, the interpretation of it did. We still have a panoply of earlier forms living today. Take bacterial DNA, which lacks the double helix entirely. Or the difference in how the same sequence would be interpreted by a teleost fish, or a modern marsupial. |
