Precession12,000 years from now the Northern Hemisphere will experience summer in December and winter in June because the axis of the earth will be pointing at the star Vega instead of it's current alignment with the North Star or Polaris. No, sorry, you can't. When a person stands still and observes the stars above head, his eyes need to adapt to the light, then the eye itself sees stars move from atmospheric distortion. Known as Fact. We get alot of posts here on GLP from people who stare at stars and claim they move in the sky..... YOU think you are standing in the same EXACT spot everytime you make an observation from your building, but you aren't. A telescope proves them wrong everytime. Just use a scope, try it. No you're wrong, it's almost in line with Earth axis but it's not(45' from it). |
