Tangent: The book of Jude calls it "eternal" fire, but it doesn't seem to still be burning. . .curious, no?

To suffer the vengence of eternal fire does not mean to burn and suffer forever. The wicked will be destroyed by God (the eternal fire). Many people misinterprete the Bible because they pick up verses out of context with no understanding of the whole thing. AND YES all "Christians" do the same thing. In the Bible was no trace of "hell and eternal torment" in the original language. Only mistranslation, misinterpretation and the introdiction of pagan beliefs in "Christianity" brought up the false doctrine of "hell and torment" while hell in the Bible is only another word for "grave". Deuteronomy 4:24 KJV (24) For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. Deuteronomy 9:3 KJV (3) Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee. Jude 1:7 KJV (7) Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. I generally agree. One key point to factor in, however, is that "the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them". Indeed the Son of Men came to save, but the people choose death!!!Anyone who does not choose Life (YahuShua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ) chooses death!
