I saw a test on some show few years back they did with a rental car....and a military EMP. The car did run again afterward. I thought it would be perma-fried....but this mini-EMP didn't totally destroy the car electronics. ...just a temporary power kill scenario. It was on the Military channel.....that ultimate weapons show. I forgot the guys name who was the host. He was a Seal for 10 years. Ohh, I'll have to see if there's anything about that on Youtube. Hmmm, I wonder if they would do a test run using a "mild" version so as not to attract attention. Did they have to do anything to get the car to run again? They had this "bomb looking thing" hanging from wires connected to a pole or poles over the car. They flipped a switch and the car was toast. I thought it was amusing that they did it to a rental car. ahhhhh found it!!
