Re: Astrophysicist Steven Rawlings dead
from the oxford:

"After calling neighbours he said he emailed Prof Rawlings’ wife Linda – who was out of the country on business – to say: “I’m really sorry but I’ve killed Steve.”

so which email is then correct?
we have 2 different emails here that say basically the same thing, but putting something in quotes means that those ARE the words and not just paraphrasing.

so again, really sloppy reporting or something else.

Re: Astrophysicist Steven Rawlings dead
The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is a radio telescope in development in Australia and South Africa which will have a total collecting area of approximately one square kilometre.[1] It will operate over a wide range of frequencies and its size will make it 50 times more sensitive than any other radio instrument. It will require very high performance central computing engines and long-haul links with a capacity greater than the current global Internet traffic.[2] It will be able to survey the sky more than ten thousand times faster than ever before.

With receiving stations extending out to distance of at least 3,000 kilometres (1,900 mi) from a concentrated central core, it will continue radio astronomy's tradition of providing the highest resolution images in all astronomy. The SKA will be built in the southern hemisphere, in Sub-Saharan states with cores in South Africa and Australia, where the view of the Milky Way Galaxy, is best and radio interference least.[3]

With a budget of €1.5 billion, construction of the SKA is scheduled to begin in 2016 for initial observations by 2019 and full operation by 2024.[4][5] The headquarters of the project are in Manchester, in the UK.

"Mrs Rawlings said her husband – who she met aged 16 – was a “very gentle person” who cared passionately about his work.

But after leaving on her trip she became “more and more concerned” after speaking to him.

She said: “He was not his usual self. He was excited, excitable and there were some random thoughts coming out.”

She said she found the email from Dr Sivia – who did not have her number – hard to believe but “neither of them were practical jokers”.

Recording a verdict of accidental death, Mr Salter said: “In order to stop the attack and defend himself, the friend physically restrained Professor Rawlings in a headlock on the floor that subsequently led to a cardiac arrest and Professor Rawlings’ death.”

In a statement, Dr Sivia said: “The delusion and paranoia associated with his illness got the better of him and my attempt to help Steve in his relapse came to a nightmarish end.”

so...a heart attack caused by lack of oxygen, seems to me, that as a coroner, that would be a pretty cut and dry cause of the death. yet at the time, the findings were inconclusive?

also, the wife just happens to go out of town and says he is acting "excitable" but certainly isn't worried enough to call anyone or come home. and acting "excitable" is hardly "an acute psychotic episode"

and then "his illness".....so he just got this "illness" of the friggin' blue on that day? otherwise had been a calm gentle man who had a wife who clearly felt it was safe for her to leave town....he isn't acting different at the time of her departure.

also, he clearly still had his job and was quite young at 49.

so he was functional and teaching. then he flips out and the university don't call a hospital or a private doctor or ANYTHING. they just send him to this guy's house?

this whole story is crazy.

This is the part that bugged me most -

He was one of the leading scientists on the SKA.

SNIP FROM NY TIMES ARTICLE - Dr. Rawlings’s death appeared likely to have an impact, at least temporarily, on the Square Kilometer Array project, a principal focus of his work in recent years, and said by many astronomers to be the most sensitive radio telescope ever undertaken.

The final site for the internationally financed project, either South Africa or Australia, is scheduled to be announced in March. The project’s Web site says it aims to “give astronomers insight into the formation and evolution of the first stars and galaxies after the Big Bang, the role of cosmic magnetism, the nature of gravity, and possibly even life beyond Earth.”

And from this site - [link to www.physics.ox.ac.uk]
Research Interests: Observational cosmology. Cosmic evolution of galaxies and AGN and feedback mechanisms. Physics of extragalactic radio sources and AGN. Large-scale structure and the cosmic evolution of galaxy clusters. Next-generation radio telescopes and their role in constraining cosmological parameters, dark energy and hot and cold dark matter.

Clips from article:
One member of staff said: “He wasn’t his normal self, he was quite quiet, when they left it was as if he couldn’t get out the door quick enough, normally he and his wife would stay for hours

“There was no atmosphere between them, they were quiet, I did sense something wasn’t right when they walked in to the restaurant.”

i'm not saying i don't believe they use it or it does not factor in hugely on certain things. but the date this was published and his name being equal in gematria is seriously stupid and grasping for straws, even for me, and i'm a pretty hardcore kook.

that's like trying to discredit the 911 truth movement by saying holographic planes hit the towers.

it's just ridiculous fluffy nonsense meant to derail.

Re: Astrophysicist Steven Rawlings dead
"Toward midnight, the police receive an emergency call to attend to one of the scientists, who appears to have suffered blows, and a possible heart attack, at the home of the other. A neighbor’s attempts to resuscitate him have failed. The victim, 50, is an astrophysicist who was a leading figure in a $2 billion radioastronomy project known as the Square Kilometer Array, which aims to probe some of the deepest secrets of the universe. Before an ambulance can take him away, he dies.

His companion, an ethnic Sikh said by neighbors to have been wearing pure white robes, is taken away on suspicion of murder. Oxford colleagues are stunned, saying the university has lost “a great man and a great astronomer.” The news makes headlines in Britain."

so is this normal for a sikh to wear pure white robes?
and did he always?
what a weird thing to comment on. why comment on his clothing unless it had some sort of weird ritual significsnce?
unless they just want to make their article more "dramatio" i suppose.

still, these articles go through heavy editing before thye are published so the fact that that made it on to the last draft and was published is weird.

but i do think a lot of this is simply very very bad journalism. no one really does investigative journalism anymore.

they just parrot things they've read elsewhere.
they even get his age wrong. so was he 49 or 50?
things like this bug me.

i hate sloppy reporting.

Re: Astrophysicist Steven Rawlings dead
The village has its own link to high intrigue, too. In 2003, another Southmoor resident, David Kelly, one of Britain’s leading experts on chemical and biological weapons, walked up Harrowdown Hill, a local landmark, where he was found dead the next day, his wrist slashed. Years of official inquiries failed to establish conclusively if it was suicide or foul play. Dr. Kelly was under pressure from Prime Minister Tony Blair’s government after he accused government officials of exaggerating intelligence pointing to Saddam Hussein’s possession of unconventional weapons.

Dr. Rawlings’s death appeared likely to have an impact, at least temporarily, on the Square Kilometer Array project, a principal focus of his work in recent years, and said by many astronomers to be the most sensitive radio telescope ever undertaken.

but then after you've killed someone or something like that happens in front of you and YOU did it, then...what DO you say?
still the email was weird.
and to email it instead of call.
i don't know. it doesn't make sense.

also how can a person say "goodbye cruel world" if they are not getting enough oxygen?

i'm not saying this story is not plausible. it sort of it.

This is the key:

"Despite his brilliant career, Prof Rawlings, a lead scientist in the world’s largest radio telescope project, had suffered with mental health problems.

He was sectioned following a breakdown in April last year after being found wandering the streets in his dressing gown.

His wife Linda – who lived with him in Letcombe Regis, near Wantage, Oxfordshire – believed that the breakdown was caused by work pressures."

PUBLISHED: 15:13 GMT, 28 November 2012

Maybe THIS is the reason:

Steven Rawlings
in English Gematria Equals: 1128

source: [link to www.gematrix.org]

11-28 a November 28th

The intensive use of Gematria for coded communications between the elites is becoming more and more clear...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13622094

The formal Inquest into his death was on the 28th Nov.
 Quoting: Rolling Stone

And why the (masonic) authorities scheduled the formal Inquest for the date that is correspondent to the Gematria value of the name of the victim??

stop trying to derail this thread with gematria.
I'm not saying i don't believe they use it or it does not factor in the hugely on certain things. but the date this was published and his name being equal in gematria is seriously stupid and grasping for straws, even for me, and I'm a pretty hardcore kook.

that's like trying to discredit the 911 truth movement by saying holographic planes hit the towers.

it's just a ridiculous fluffy nonsense but to derail.

stick to facts.

Steven Rawlings in English Gematria Equals: 1128

Devinder Sivia in Jewish Gematria Equals: 1656

This Wednesday in Jewish Gematria Equals: 1656

Formal Inquest scheduled to 11-28-2012, a Wednesday..

You must be VERY stupid if you think this is not a PURE GEMATRIA SUBJECT, and nothing more...

People who think that there ANY thing in this world that is NOT Gematria related must be VERY stupid...

I have been saying so since coming online Today,Today in 1947 Aliester Crowley Died - Many bizarre things have already happened so far,I personally expect some more high strangeness.

I am sure you are aware of Crowley/Parsons/NASA and the entire 20th and 21st Century Culture and Sciences born as a result of the 'mans' deeds(as well as a few others).

Trying not to sound too crazy here, but shit is afoot.

Did you here about Jovan Belcher Murder/Suicide in a Game Field?

Jovan - Jovian - 'Of Jupiter' or Jupiters System - You mention Radio Astronomy, here is what I posted on the 'Jovan Belcher' Thread -

Jovan hey?

As in 'Jovian'?

Jovian = Jupiter System or 'of Jupiter' - Belcher is a MIT Professor who studied the System with another called 'Lazerus' - [link to en.wikipedia.org]

' Professor Belcher came to MIT in 1971, to work with Professors Herbert Bridge and Alan Lazarus, who had the plasma probe on board Mariner 5. Just after he arrived, the Space Plasma Group wrote a proposal for the Voyager mission to Jupiter and Saturn. After reaching these two planets, as well as Uranus and Neptune, Voyager is still going strong. In its most recent incarnation, it is refered to as the Voyager Interstellar Mission. Within the next twenty years, it is probable that the MIT plasma instrument on Voyager 2 will make measurements in the interstellar medium.

Professor Belcher has twice received the NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal, once for contributions to the understanding of the plasma dynamics of the Jovian magnetosphere, in 1980, and once for his role as principal investigator on the Plasma Science Experiment on Voyager during the Neptune encounter, in 1990. In 2004, the Institute awarded Belcher with the Class of '22 professorship, designed to honor "a tenured faculty member with a record of excellence in education, with respect to both curriculum development and classroom teaching." In July 2007, Prof. Belcher was named Division Head for Astrophysics' [link to web.mit.edu]

End.

WTF...........

In the week before his death on January 12, Prof Rawlings had begun to display similar symptoms. Dr Sivia agreed to let Prof Rawlings stay with him at his bungalow in Southmoor, near Abingdon, while Mrs Rawlings was on a training course in Philadelphia.

Friend or not, WHY would Dr. Sivia allow Dr. Rawlings to stay at his place when he was becoming noticeably unhinged?

Better question is WHY would Rawlings' wife go skipping out of town to some conference (trah-lah!) when her husband was showing signs of a mental breakdown, talking about killing himself, etc.? I mean, a career is good and all, but one would THINK that "Family" would take precedence over "Career"? Apparently not when you're an elite University type. How could she have expected his friend to be able to deal with her husband's deteriorating mental state successfully?

Hope she had a nice time at her conference. You know, making lots of career contacts and stuff.

bump bump and five stars for yet another weird scientist death which we will never hear any more about......

Nothing concluded,just looked at USAC.

800,000 Children go missing every Year in the US,if no-one looked for conspiracy(as in 'conspired')and other coincidences then nothing would ever be known.

I think People are just asking questions,as is Human to do so.

Something's coming folks. I'm not sure just what piece of the puzzle this article plays, but I am convinced that it is indeed, some sort of message, perhaps even a clarion call.

Very odd story..

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21987589

This is the key:

"Despite his brilliant career, Prof Rawlings, a lead scientist in the world’s largest radio telescope project, had suffered with mental health problems.

He was sectioned following a breakdown in April last year after being found wandering the streets in his dressing gown.

His wife Linda – who lived with him in Letcombe Regis, near Wantage, Oxfordshire – believed that the breakdown was caused by work pressures."
