Construction of 3,000 Housing Units in J'lem Approved

The forum of nine senior Israeli ministers decided to approve the construction of 3,000 additional housing units in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria. In addition, it was decided to advance the planning process for thousands of more housing units in Jerusalem and the surrounding area, including plans to connect Ma'aleh Adumim to Jerusalem.

Israel permits construction of 3,000 units beyond green line

Israel is considering additional measures and a state official said that the continued building is in accordance with Israel's strategic interests map. The step was taken at the backdrop of UN General Assembly recognition of the Palestinian Authority as an observer state.
