What if Alberta or Quebec UNILATERALLY declare autonomy as has been threatened and voted on before. We are supposed to be a confederation of provinces like the USA is a union of states where the province or state holds the all important ability to secede, should a majority of those in that province/state, vote to do so. Palestinians just did the same thing that Quebec or Alberta could do or attempt in this administration. God, do we need another Liberal government for our constitutional rights to be upheld as much as to balance the budget?? We haven't had a single balanced budget or surplus in 7 years of Harper. In fact, one had to go back to Stanfield or Bennett to find a Conservative who understands economics. Bet your ass that Mark Carney left this sinking ship like the rat he is because of the deficits to come. |

The rescuers ( Canadian Military) flew over them at least 6 times without spotting them as they were equipped with only a 1500 Watt search light. The local community, Liberal defence critic, RCMP, Coast Guard and MP all asked that infrared cameras and proper search lights be placed on search and rescue planes and helicopters for use in the North. For all of Harper's crap about the " future of the north" and how "important northern sovereignty is", in the FOUR YEARS since this request by a municipality, province/territorial government, military advisors and the Coast guard..............The government says" we will look in to it".......by 2014!!!!!! Meanwhile here in Harper's backyard, the Calgary Police Service runs a state of the art helicopter ( 3 actually) at $2500-3000 per hour 24/7. It is equipped with scalar imaging, infra red and high quality search light that can be seen for up to 3 miles. But, after all, they're up against speeders, red light runners and accident scene leavers not trying to rescue Canadian civilians or fellow law enforcement/military personnel. Good thing they spend $100 000 per week generating revenue.....I mean, keeping the streets of Calgary safe from distracted drivers instead of keeping our citizens and law enforcement/military personnel safe in the Arctic. Not only is this "Fiscal Conservative" working on his 8th straight multi Billion dollar deficit but he's not spending it on the Military as he claims. He's giving it to his friends at GE, Northrop Grunman, Boeing and McDonell Douglas with "consulting fees", "exploratory committees" and "Parliamentary Commissions" while lying right to our faces. How are those F-35's coming along........oh yeah, they're not!!!! Guess we will never see those Billions again either in the Bank or air. I just read Harper is flying over the Iqualit region today...........what karma that would be if he went down. C,mon Arctic squall!!! |
