That is much more than most countries could ask for all things considered.

He has more work to do on repealing draconian Gun control laws that were jammed down our throats from 1993-2005, and also Lowering Taxes further but he is off to a great start 1 year into this Majortity Government

Everyone says he has been in charge since 2006 and while technically he has been PM since '06 there are no other parties that agree with his party so he has not been able to get anything tangiable done until May 2011 when he won a Majority.

Canada for those who don't know have 5 major Parties

1 is an all Quebec Serperatist Party and they only run in Quebec and shill for Quebec and could Never win the PM's chair based on Mathematics. (75 Seats in QUE, 308 Seats in Parliament) They would be on the 10 Yard Line on Issues the same as the Green Party (See Below)

NDP - 15 Yard Line (Socialist Eco-Facsist End Zone)

Now to compare the 2 American Parties in this for prespective

Democrats - 40 Yard Line (Socialist Eco-Facsist End Zone)

Republicans - 25 Yard Line (Freedom & Responsibility End Zone)

So as you can see Harper has no help, It's 1 party that favours good policy, 4 Parties Favour bad policy.

What if Alberta or Quebec UNILATERALLY declare autonomy as has been threatened and voted on before.

We are supposed to be a confederation of provinces like the USA is a union of states where the province or state holds the all important ability to secede, should a majority of those in that province/state, vote to do so.

Palestinians just did the same thing that Quebec or Alberta could do or attempt in this administration.

God, do we need another Liberal government for our constitutional rights to be upheld as much as to balance the budget??

I think Harper is Great. But don't forget our government works so well because we have 4 other recognized parties within Canada and they all have a say. Our Government works with all the groups to reach consences. Keeps everybody in check Nobody is left out or shut out.
