Its fake.

ABC is reporting that possibly a person from Maryland visiting Arizona bought the winning ticket.

WTF?

If true that is sooooo lame.

why is that lame?

I have a feeling about these things. When Jack Whittaker won in 2002 I was upset because I knew his life would turn out miserable and I was correct.

The Missouri winners will be fine, but this guy, I will just have to wait to see how this guy turns up at his announcement in Arizona.

Re: Arizona’s $588 million Powerball winner comes forward, and he's homeless - trying to reunite with his family
THIS IS FAKE

There is no way a homeless guy is living in Fountain Hills. The police there don't allow homeless people to sleep around. Fountain Hills is completely separated by mountains from Phoenix and only one major road goes into it, and that's Shea Blvd. This is like trying to tell someone a homeless bum from Bel Air won, it just isn't logical. That is unless the dude hiked all the way to Fountain Hills, a place where the average medium of household income is around $100,000, has nothing but snobby people and suburban cops, and then buys $10 lotto ticket. Fake, fake, fake, and more fake.

That and this is the only news page reporting on it. It's almost as obvious of a troll as the guy on Facebook trying to get "shares" fora chance at winning a million.

STAGGGEDDD......

if this aint evidence that the lotto if FIXED, then I don't know what is!

think about it...

they let this homeless guy win, that way the masses think it's real. Then they buy more tickets for next time. ya the rags to riches story, but what it really is is it's throwing the dog a bone, so they can still believe the master still loves them and is fair to them.

This is propaganda 101. He didn't really win. But they used him as a patsy winner so that all the low income people will now buy more tickets for next time!

“He came in smelling of malt liquor and a strong odor of what I believe to be marijuana,” says 41-year-old Monica Lanter who was at the Phoenix Lottery Office when Horner arrived with the winning ticket. “I heard one of the employees ask Mr. Horner if he was going to have a $500 million crack party, just like that one episode from the Chappelle Show. I didn’t think that was very nice or funny whatsoever.”

He threw money on a bet to win a lottery..
Does it matter who he or she is really?
Be all you can be with or without help from others.
Life gives you a chance to make it big or small but in the end money has nothing to do with it.
The real winners were the ones who dreamed of winning and found that even with all that money they would not change a thing.

You laughed all the way through this? Have you no heart?

This morning lottery officials were pleased to announce that one of the two winners in last night’s Powerball drawing has come forward. That lucky person is Paul Horner from Fountain Hills, Arizona. He is one of the two winners in Wednesday’s record $588 million Powerball jackpot. Mr. Horner won by correctly matching all five numbers and then also the Powerball.

Mr. Horner was ecstatic when he arrived at the Phoenix Lottery Office this morning says lottery official Debbie Arnette. “He had a smile from ear to ear. He was screaming at the top of his lungs that he had won, it was quite a sight to see,” Arnette says. “Then after we verified the winning ticket and finalized everything, we learned that Mr. Horner was homeless. He said the night before he had been sleeping on a park bench and was begging for change.” Arnette continued, “He told us that his wife had left him and took the kids to Wyoming after he lost his job at a meat packing factory in Phoenix last January. It made me tear up, what can I say, I’m a softy. This will truly be a rags to riches story.”

Horner talked to reporters telling them of his plans for his new found wealth and how he had picked the winning numbers. “First of all, I hope my wife will take me back and I can be with my kids again. That’s really all I want,” Horner said. “I’ve seen first hand how it is out there on the streets. I plan to give a lot of that money back to help others in need.” Horner continued, “As for how I picked the numbers, it was really easy. My youngest son Tim is five years old, my daughter Stephanie is 16, I married my wife when I was 22 and she was 23, and the 29th is the date when I planned to win all these millions,” Horner laughs for a moment, but that laughter quickly turns to tears. “And the number 6 is how many kids my wife and I had planned to have before she left me.”

Nice Story.

I wonder why they felt the need to include the quote about him smelling like malt liquor and maryjane & the 500 million crack party? That is certainly not news-worthy and turns the article from a pleasant, heartwarming story into a cartoon. :-(

Banned as usual.

“It is far easier to be a weakling than to be a Real Man. Were the Earth less harsh or the circumstances of life less austere, man would destroy himself before the shrine of the languid goddess. Only Real Men can with safety destroy the tangled forests and wilderness of Earth and make from them gardens, but will those who inherit the gardens be Real Men? The law decrees that they must be, or the wilderness will reclaim its own.”
