What the hell is wrong with the sun ???

could have been the haze clouds blocking the suns rays and then temporarily shining through a open spot in the sky and then being blocked a gain by a haze cloud

It is called sungazing.

Just keep doing it and the initial brightness will fade away and you will be able to stare at it for a good amount of time.

Like 5 minutes or so...

No dude. I know chemtrail sky when I see it. We are used to it here also, that's why I said it was a WEIRD day to start with, there was NO haze today. Clear skies all day through, perfectly blue.

Damn I wish I could've filmed this. I hope someone else, somewhere, anywhere, saw this and recorded it.

Around the same time you posted I saw the same thing. Only I have clouds that have been clinging to the sun all dang day! I took pictures but it's so dang hard to see in them...I did manage to get a couple. I didn't even have to put my face behind the camera phone...I just kept my eyes on the prize and my arm out steady to get the pics. I trailed the sun with my bare eyeballs until there were no more pockets for it to peek out of. This isn't the first time it's happened...heh...maybe I'll see if I can get anymore...

you have just discovered sun gazing, which does produce the image of the disk of the sun. congratulations . And you did it, because the sun is DIMMED allowing you to look without eye protection. there is NOTHING wrong here with the disk appearing. and its appears easier towards set anyway. The sun is NOT intense, once you move past the glare. That is all you did. It is in fact getting less and less intense, so I suspect more people will finally notice what I have been saying about the dimming since it started mid September

it cannot be filmed. Your camera is not your eyes, and will only pick up the glare.

no read my posts above. The sun is dimming which causes people to gaze it easier. Those of us that sun gaze have watched this for years, its just easier now, and this can be done at high noon most places now without needing anything more than simple sunglasses and many of us to not require that.

I'm definitely gonna try this again. Weird though, I always thought you needed to build up to it? I can't really normally look at it longer than a few seconds...

^This^...that's what made getting my pics so hard. I actually took about 40 or so of them in succession. Stupid clouds. Now watch, tomorrow and Sunday will be clear as I have to work full shifts those days. Grrrr....

I am not "GodLovesAll". I didn't say he was sungazing. I said he saw the same thing I saw. I wouldn't be a good "sungazer" at all. Can barely look at it more then 5 seconds, so we'll leave the "sungazing" theory to question. I just wanna know what happened with the sun and if anyone else saw it too.

Very good point indeed. Btw, I think to really gaze at the sun for longer periods of times is very destructive to your eyes.

yes, I don't see how you sun-gazed unintentionally at the same time a fellow commuter next to your car did the same.

What you saw was legit.

And not surprising considering what the sun is going through right now.

Its a contraction. It happens once ever few thousand years.

In essence the sun is "Overloading" causing the convection belts in the sun to slow. When this happens it interrupts the magnetic resonace of the sun which tranfers over to the visible spectrum when the interference is reaching its peak.

In laymans terms what is taking place is this.

The sun is gearing up for a very strong outburst.

Expect some dealy and spectacular flares from the sun in the next three months.

There will be several more episodes of blinking as we approach the extreme solar max pulse event.

The final warning to take cover is when we see the suns light stop more than once in a week.

If what you saw happens again in the same week its time to get underground because the max pulse is not far away.

The maxpulse will shed a small portion of the surface of the sun in all directions. It will be like a sunwide CME. A solar mass ejection but covering the entire surface of the sun.

Just before this even takes place the sun will dim to almost nothing. It will appear black for a few minutes to a few hours.

But once it gets to this point its too late to run really.

You need to be in deep caves before this event.

Anyone caught in its direct impact will more than likley die and if they survive they will be severly deranged and suffer severe burns.

I am keeping this in simple terms so people can understand what they are facing.

No point getting all technical as there are plenty of websites to look this up on if you are of a scientific bent.

But as I said.

Once this sort of even takes place more than once in a week GET UNDER GROUND FAST.
