I eat meat, but I don't eat pork, shelfish, shark, etc. There's a reason those things are not kosher; they're dirty. I realize something like salmon is known for having parasites, which is gross, but other than that the meat is inherintly clean. When you cook salmon and kill the parasites, the meat is clean. When you cook pork and kill the parasites, the meat is still dirty. It's filled with toxins that cooking can't kill. Pork meat has an inflammatory effect on the body, and most cannibals in prison, when asked, say human flesh tastes exactly like pork. I believe its bad to eat anything that is forbidden in the old testament, but pork is especially bad for these reasons.

Also, when a pig gets bit by a poisinous snake it doesn't get sick, because the poison doesn't circulate through the body to be expelled. It just stays in the skin where the bite was for the rest of the pig's life. Ancient Chinese medicine had a work for shelfish, pork, and peanuts. It roughly translates to "toxic." We should learn from our ancestors and their wisdom. If you want to eat pork, that's your business, but don't dare even try to say that its perfectly healthy as long as its cooked, cause that is laughable.
