Protons of one atom can differentiate into protons of other atoms. Look up the work of Kervan. It happens all the time in nature, and in the body. If the body doesn't have enough calcium, it will use silicon to make some. Transmutation is real, and silicon can transmute into any mineral it wants to.

Honestly, people taught me wrong. The god that most people teach has nothing to do with at all with Him. I only found God when I hit rock bottom and started making some really bad decisions. It took several years after that for me to see what was actually happening, and once you understand where it is comming from, it keeps getting better. I spent many years being a skeptic, and even used to troll for Christians. One day I bumped into one that actually opened my eyes.
