Indego User ID: 26952081 United States 11/30/2012 08:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Geological storm wrecking the north west To paraphrase it and the others .. There has been an increased Mount of seismic activity in the pacific ring that has caused the activity of the San Andreas fault to increase it's activity and pushing right through via the caves and caverns far beneath the auface right to the Madrid fault .. Filling the caverns or heating ducts till they clog pushing the excess volcanic material up through the volcanic terrain that is the mountains of Oregon and Washington till it spues. out in the sound ... This mass amount of magma moving has also raised the temperatures deep in the crust where there are glaciers (kinda why ol' faithful erupts) the melting of these glaciers is causing streams and rivers to flood with also the addition of some good ol fasioned weather (rain sleet snow) ... Needless to say there is something big going on something so big it could be easier for many to try to ignore it but so big they can't . This post and others I've done on the topic should explain it. There's changes happening be aware . VLR Last Edited by Indego on 11/30/2012 08:50 PM VLR!! |

Flooding of rivers is already occuring. A series of storms are passing through, with high seas and winds, snow and rain. The Pacific Coast up through Washington State are experiencing these storms. |

alexisj9 User ID: 1376880 United Kingdom 11/30/2012 08:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was in reno the other day Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8598974 no way a flood is comming This is in the middle of the desert !!! I hope peppermill casino resort is ok ! To all the people in the Peppermill : Stand strong and go the lifeboats although I would go with the helicopter Well in that case the land would be dry and hard, which only helps it to flood quicker because the water just rushes over the ground instead of soaking in. Stay safe people of reno. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28050179 GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the FUCK is wrong with you people?!?!? Jeeeeez...this isn't even CLOSE to the definition of an ARK storm. Dumbasses. It will be in a few weeks, after the moisture keeps coming we will slowly get flooded out, like the old 'frog in boiling water' analogy, we are the slowly boiled frog. “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 6622655 United States 11/30/2012 08:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in south Reno, and this happens every few years. When we have heavy rain, ontop of mountain snow pack, the snow melts, rapidly, which creates a lot of run off. The rivers and creeks swell, and any low lying areas below, can get significant flooding. At least the snowpack wasn't that deep, so the expected run off shouldn't be as bad as last big flood, which was 2005. Part of mountain living, no one is panicking out here, just keeping a watchful eye. |

To all the people in the Peppermill : Stand strong and go the lifeboats although I would go with the helicopter Yes, Icelandic friend, they are in the high desert. But also on the eastern slope of the mighty Sierra Nevada mountains. Have you heard of the Truckee River? It flows right through the middle of Reno, fed by mountain snows and rain run-off in a huge watershed area, and is quite capable of producing epic floods in Reno, as history has shown. |
