Playing in the ocean feels so good, I hope you can overcome those fears and try it one day! I study freshwater fish, and the species I study lives in the amazon, and Ive gone down to do research there a couple of times. This involved swimming with sting rays, electric eels and cayman. The ocean seems not so bad considering ;)

I am curious about these Earth-Air-Fire-Water distinctions, though I don't know as much about astrology as I'd like. Does make me think of captain planet.. Maybe I am also part "Heart".

My little dog is all Heart. :)

Rediscovery is right. Another post reminded me that I also wanted to be an archeologist and I also pursue this to a point as well.

I cannot tolerate those with no tolerance for smokers. They act like it is our worst problem, but I believe alcohol is more lethal than cigs. If you were driving down the highway...which would u rather meet: a smoker or a drinker?

I used to live in Florida so I know all about that ha. I just don't like it so much when my feet aren't touching the ground when swimming. I like exploring underwater though. I'm just weird haha. That is really amazing that you research all kinds of sea/freshwater fish! Especially traveling to the amazon! Do you know the show River Monsters on AP? And yes the ocean is great.

German Shepherds are not ideal for a noob owner. Even for the experienced owner with past GSDs, that first year is critical and a trying time for both the dog and the owner.
They are VERY smart, very loyal, but will walk all over someone that doesn't know how to handle them right.

I've had my last 2 professionally trained at 6 months old and it has payed off big, but you still need to have some skillz at home too.

Properly raised and trained it is hands down the best breed out there.
