blocker of human evolution .
They are more corrupt than you could imagine. The shitty technology we have now in 2012 has a lot to do with the patent office and the dirty lawyer fucks that work with them.

also, this hasn't much to do with blocking high tech but China's manufacturing firms always ignored the patent office. no one did jack about it, accept recently Barak Hussain did winge a bit, but that was it.

In high school our teacher taught us about "designer babies."
we read an article on how scientists are working on making sure that specific genes are given to the baby. (i.e. blonde hair, good athletics, intelligent etc.)

maybe you'll be able to give your child traits that the two parent's don't even HAVE.
