It actually makes me less depressed knowing I am not nearly as dumb or hopeless as most of the people on this website.

I think many of us are depressed but for a reason. I think a lot of people here are waiting, in holding pattern.

Oh, I've had clinical depression most my life. Which is a continuing struggle.

It's good to read/hear that people have been helped by GLP, though. Finding kindred thinkers or believers is a great release and means of entertainment and way of distracting oneself from our society which is so cut-throat and petty.

If anyone wants to be honest, I'm curious how many of you are highly social? Not because I want to judge; quite the opposite. A lot of the threads and comments focus so much on the horrible cliches of what is expected as "normal" human behavior.

This time in American History is probably the apex of the non-traditional "home."

Does high school-to-college-to-hopefully-high-paying job equal happiness?

I don't consider myself "Highly Social" -- I can "Deal" with people, but that is the extent of it. My Wife, son, and a few other intermediate family members and friends go about as far as true "Social Interaction" goes...

GLP is like an illusion of fear.

You start out with great fear.

As doom dates "come and go" you start feeling better and seeing through the illusion of fear.
