Now all of you "cold dead hands" fans, see how easily your guns can be confiscated and you thrown in jail? Now if an agent comes to your door and says "surrender all your firearms!" you say that you'll shoot them. Yeah right, good luck with that. How about when they accuse you of child porn, or pirate DVD's, or some other stupid crime you obviously didn't commit? You'll think you are OK, wait for your lawyer, and then you go off to Dachau and they take your guns, your lands, and ultimately your life. And no one will ever know of it, while your neighbors will think you are a porn pirate. Have fun with that firearm-based resistance. You folks need to figure out how things actually work, and deal with it from there. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 13825301 United States 11/30/2012 10:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Maybe we do have a chance, but guns are not what will make that difference. What will make a difference? Number ONE thing is to avoid crime. All crime. Every sort of crime. Don't give anyone the slightest excuse to bust you for the least thing. Don't whine about injustice if you thumb your nose at the law. Number TWO is to stay connected to your community. That can work as a team defense, or it can give you an escape route. I don't mean an alternative community, but a visible and above-the-board community like a church or country club. Be active and visible. Number THREE is to have an alarm. Make sure that if anything happens to you, someone will know about it immediately and get you a lawyer, a news crew, or anything out there to babysit the cops. I have a suspicion that if the man in the original post had done those things, he would have fared better. |

See, if the government wants to harass you, they will simply MAKE up a bogus charge. While being law abiding will keep you off of the authorities radar, it doesn't guarantee anything. If they decide you have an awesome piece of land, or large amounts of gold, or a nice gun collection, and they want it, be prepared to be charged with something. |

The internet is just here to see what you are thinking. Even the anti-spam captcha tests, are not about spam, they are actually rohrshack intelligence tests. They want to know how smart you are, and thus how dangerous you might be. You may have noticed Yahoo just constantly gives you the captcha tests now, all the time, no matter what you enter. They are trying to see how smart you are, if you are too smart, they will be watching you. If you ever took the IQ tests in high school, it was just a bunch of consecutive boxes, and you figure out the pattern. The captcha tests are the same thing, IQ tests. |

With so many laws on the books now, just about everyone breaks laws they didn't know existed. If they can't get you one way, they'll find another. This was just what I was going to say. I watched John Stossel interview someone who said that on average, because of these screwy laws that we don't know about, we may be breaking about 100 a day?! I think that was the number, it was something where it doesn't matter what you do. Soley by existing you're breaking a law doing something. |
