Importing a car from the USA to Australia.

Check out the regulations with customs or your motor vehicle dept. I made the mistake of importing a yank car a few years ago. I had to change the bumpers because they didn't meet CDN crash standards. It could have been expensive but I got lucky and found some junk yard bumpers to swap out fairly cheap.

I don't know if Australia is the same as here, but be careful. You could get fucked for a big repair bill to bring the car up to standard. Check it all out first.

had friends who hired containers and shipped cars and bikes over .

you need both special lincense and registration to even temporarily drive a left hander here, special plates and large signs front and rear.

they converted the cars , mainly corvettes on mass to save. you need a fiberglass mould for them.

conversion price all depends on model and how many cars you're doing.

buy one already here, converted and ready to go

Expensive tho.

cheaper than bringing just one from usa and converting it.

Hold off, Ford is coming out with a RHD Mustang in 2015 or maybe earlier. Ready to go, no conversion. probably cheaper than you could buy a 2008 conversion.
