Contrail yes, chemtrail no. Those don't exist. And the red ones are clearly reflecting sunlight from a setting or rising sun.

The fact that the tower didn't know they were there is a different matter, but has nothing to do with so-called "chemtrails." probably didn't know they were there because they were flying well above their airspace.
