when i was growing up, jet contrails would always break up and disperse not far behind the jet......you almost never see that now-just many miles long chemtrails that may stretch from horizon to horizon.

i once, on a long drive west saw one grow from a string sized CT into a huge thick regular cloud covering a third of the sky-it was astounding
