Sounds like you strained an erector. Ice it for 2-3 days about 5 times a day for 10-15 mins. after that, lie on a tennis ball on the spot that hurt and roll around on it. That breaks up scarring.

Most likely then you have a nerve trapped in some scar tissue. Supposedly ART can free the nerve.

Active Release Therapy.

Some things don't heal on their own, but get worse with time.

My son is seeing a massage (deep tissue) woman who is fixing things from accidents years ago.

The work is amazing.

Massage therapy is a great start. They'll know more than ANY doctor, when it comes to the muscular system.

Re: strange back problem
Go see a chiropractor because the back being out could cause your pain. You probably will end up feeling like a new person, but since it has been out so long, it may take a few visits before it actually stays in where it belongs.

Obviously isn't possible to diagnose with this little of information, but maybe it is one of your inter-vertebral discs. You say that leaning forward relieves the pain, and standing up causes pain. Just a prediction. Maybe you just pulled a muscle in your back haha.

Also, do you have any pain in your legs? If you do, then it is probably something to do with an inter-vertebral discs.

Leaning forward is what causes pain but I don't feel pain coming until I stand up straight, so it is a delayed reaction, but the cause is definately leaning forward because standing straight doesn't gradually increase pain, leaning forward does.

Alright gotcha. I also read that you have tingling in your feet maybe once a week. This could be related to something with your sciatica nerve. If you go to the doctor they're going to want to do an X-Ray and MRI I'm sure.

I'm a pre-med student and I shadowed quite a few doctors this summer. One of them was a guy who dealt with pain management and I have seen patients with similar stuff.

My suggestion would be to do simple leg stretching and maybe some light back exercises. Like bend over and touch your toes to stretch your hamstrings/back muscles. Hopefully this helps, if the pain gets worse see a doctor though.
