Need advice: Seismograph readouts showing something odd

Ok, so ever since the Japan quake I've kept the ANSS station index map bookmarked and check it every day or so unless I hear about a specific event. My area (Kansas) is usually very quiet, but I check it first so as to identify a sort of "background" level of noise.

Today though there was something else there. I've checked some of the others (one in Montana/Wyoming and another in Mississippi and some in between) and they show this similar...pattern?

I downloaded my local heliplot readout as it is a slightly delayed feed (30 minutes or so) but is continuous with no real way I've seen of reviewing past material.

If someone could look at these and help me understand what is going on I'd greatly appreciate it. I took some plate tectonics when I was an undergrad, but never got into the geophysics side of it. Besides knowing what an earthquake signature looks like, and having observed the "normal" for my area, I'm stumped as to what this is.

I'll try to save and upload as many of the other heliplot readouts to an online service (recommendations for that as well would be helpful, as I rarely even start threads on any forum, so have little use for the service). So once about 24 hours have passed I can post these as needed by anyone who wants/needs them so discussion can continue.
