Dreams that you remember after waking for extended periods of time, i.e. days, weeks, years are important to you.

No other person can tell you exactly what these events mean to you, since your interpretation of events and symbols in these dreams are your own.

The best way to explain, that I can think of would be something akin to this:

Dreams sometime speak in symbols, and dreams sometimes attempt to communicate literal meaning through absurdity in symbols.

Best thing I can recommend would be to consider the dream, and consider firstly what it's referring to. Secondly would be to consider its literal meaning, and then consider if the events that transpired are set in literal meaning, or "as an expression" that could be used to describe situations of your life.

I had yet ANOTHER dream i was battling demons in my mom's basement.

I would hear them moaning names, until I opened the door to peek my head into the darkness.

I could barely make out my fuzzy reflection in the mirror, and as I strained my eyes the door blasted off the hinges, pushing me back about 5 feet.

i also had a dream that everything would kick off on a Monday. well, it wasn't a dream as such. in the pre waking slumber, some disembodied voice shouted in my right ear 'MONDAY!' this happened about two years back
