It is a class thing. White people have more money to go on vacation in warm climate places, where sharks are more likely to roam.

The majority of black people I have met in my life don't swim. I don't know why and I wouldn't try to generalize it to everyone, but there's something to say for them just not getting in the water to begin with. Maybe they know there are sharks in there....

Hips are higher or something, that is why they cannot swim so good, but run like the wind.

Most minorities can't swim. Not many pools in the inner city. Link is to this story about a lady who lost her 16yr son to drowning. He drowned when he went to the lake with friends. She just never thought that water woukd be a threat living in the inner city so it didn't cross her mind to make sure he had learned to swim. She setup a fund to help inner city children pay for/ learn to swim. It's inspiring to see her turn a tradegy into something positive.
