The Doctor (there's an infinite number of him so it's a group ) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28826555 The Doctor is a title character and the protagonist of the long-running BBC television science fiction series Doctor Who, and has also featured in two cinema feature films and one made-for-television movie, as well as a vast range of spin-off novels, audio dramas and comic strips connected to the series.
To date, eleven actors have played the role in the television series, with continuity being maintained by the ability of the character's species to regenerate. Several other actors have played the character on stage and film, in audio dramas, and in occasional special episodes of the series. The character's enduring popularity led the Daily Telegraph to dub him "Britain's favourite alien". The Doctor, in his eleventh incarnation, is currently played by Matt Smith, who took on the role in January 2010 and became the first Doctor to be nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2011.
Quoting: WikipediaYou mean this guy(s)? Growing up I had a couple of friends who moved here from England and they would always watch Dr. Who after school. I think the show itself was unlike anything that was available at the time with the closest thing maybe being 'Land of the Lost' in terms of being uniquely imaginative in its creation and premise. It definitely had an impact on my young and impressionable mind. ------
