I know this sounds a bit off the wall, but please give me a few minutes of your time and help with this simple science experiment. Grab a magnet and lightly touch some dry soil outside. In California, 100% of the soil I've tested is magnetic. This is not iron and it's not normal for dirt to stick to a magnet (I'm not speaking from ignorance). Please test your dirt and post your findings here. If you could, include a general location.
