Why is Coastal Flooding ongoing, over 30 days now, in Florida?
I have lived in South Florida all of my life. Never has a storm, not even Category 5 Hurricane Andrew, harmed the beachfront. Look at Fort Lauderdale now! Superstorm Sandy didn't even come near us! Is this the beginning of Sea Level Rise? Fort Lauderdale beach no longer even exists! Waves are crashing against the roadway. It you don't know what it looked like before, Google: Fort Lauderdale Beach image.

sea level rise won't happen suddenly, it will happen slowly over time and then start speeding up as time goes on

it happens. South Beach gets it all the time, I think that the difference is now with all the trees and such being cut down, water has nowhere to go. Messing up the eco-system. It's not exactly because of the sea level...

Cause they try to "fix the beach" every time their's a hurricane and dump sand on shore and a little ways in the water itself. But right off shore the water is deeper and it was only a matter of time before this happened.

Re: Why is Coastal Flooding ongoing, over 30 days now, in Florida?
this is interesting. sea level is a very physics related thing. it aint always about water volume that makes tides, as you know, moon has huge impact on it. in general its G, gravity force of nearly 10km/s. it keeps pushing all matter to the core. so this G is variable, but what makes it vary? is earth gravitation weakening? planet x? galactic force disturbancies?

Many people repiled to the last thread, saying that they lived on the east coast of Florida, and there was no change.

Like me. We were ignored. I think the Obamites or Goreists or somebody in the government wants us to abandon Florida. So they can have it as their private fishing ground after Agenda 21 goes big.

I am waterfront south of Daytona. All is normal i repeat. All is normal. We had high tides during the nor'easter, and then they receded. As usual.

Re: Why is Coastal Flooding ongoing, over 30 days now, in Florida?
Thanks for your replies. I am super curious why it's only really affecting the SE side of FL. I like the idea about the shoreline destruction, but that's been on-going for soooo long. There hasn't been any ecosystem there for like 40 years. Moon theory is great, but is it going to end anytime soon, or is this a sign of permanent changes to come? I was driving on A1A in Palm Beach today and a lot of intracoastal properties had flooding in their yards too, from the West side, not the beach side. So peculiar. I guess as everything, time will tell eh?

I want to be clear. I am not a doomsday person. I just want a normal answer. If you go to the beach today, the waves are still rolling in pretty high. I just read an article about the Gulf Stream flow slowing down and causing elevated sea levels near the coast. Ok. Why can't I find anymore info on that?
