Not off topic at all. That's what the Obama/Democrat agenda is: Universal poverty with a permanent oligarchy to rule over it.

Re: Obama Calls for additional $1 TRILLION student loan bailout for his bankster buddies
A possible $1 trillion bailout is coming—and soon.

America’s now-nationalized student loan industry just reached a value of $1 trillion, according to Citigroup, growing at a 20 percent-per-year pace. Since President Obama nationalized the industry (a tacked-on provision of the Obamacare bill), tuition has gone up 25 percent and the three-year default rate is at a record 13.4 percent.

...

Adding another $1 trillion dollars to the national debt isn’t exactly “forgiveness” for young people—it’s prolonging the payoff. In fact, student loan bailouts are a catch-22 for young people because they’re going to be held accountable for paying off the national debt and interest payments.

A student loan bailout will also be rewarding higher education bureaucrats for a diminished product. A college degree used to mean that a person would add on average $1 million to their income over their lifetime. Today a college degree only guarantees an average $300,000 in added income over a lifetime.

this really pisses me off, i worked two jobs and went to school full time in order to pay for my own college tuition and now i will be forced to pay for someone else's?

i was in class one day and this guy asked the professor why he never took a day off and canceled class. the prof said to him, "you are paying for this, it wouldn't be right for me just to take off days for the hell of it." the guy just stared blankly for a moment or two and said, "i ain't paying for it, you don't think i would be here if I HAD TO PAY FOR IT? i gets it free."

son of a b*tch, i am sick of paying for damn parasites and leeches.

News flash brain child. Someone has been, and will always be, paying for hat you enjoy now. Infrastructure, education, communications, military, social security, retirement....it's not like your money is actually in a bank somewhere multiplying to cover the cost of the things you enjoy. I payed on my loans for twenty years as a single father and I barely made interest payments. I have never been on welfare and have always worked two jobs. Wake the fuck up. Why do you fucking fiscal conservatives always refuse to see what your pro life, pro capitolist views have created? The American
Scheme promotes borrowing as responsible fiscal policy. The eighties were all about debt as a means to success. Student loans were actually pushed on many of us by eager beaver, on campus bank reps and fed loan folks as a cool way to pay for school. The interest was over ten percent and each semester actually calculated separately. The interest actually accrued exponentially. Most twenty something's couldn't grasp that. The AmScheme tried to convince students that borrowing money actually equates to greater overall lifetime earning power. Now they rescind that notion. We still use this mentality in housing and credit policy. " buy now and save" is our national mantra. Credit scores, for example, reward the use of credit and punish those using cash or saving instead of spending. It's systemic. But why blame the culture when you can blame those that got suckered into believing what it taught?

Great! Will that be in physical cash, coins, checks, or cashless digital credits? How long will it be until they convert to a cashless digital credit monetary system after the US falls off the "fiscal cliff"? Hmmm? Perhaps this was the plan all along? Hmmm?

If true and if students are bailed out - I will be totally pissed. Having put myself through college with no loans, no grants and no help from anyone I know this is completely possible even while living at the proverty level. The key is go to college in the state one lives in, don't live on campus - stay at home or rent a room if possible, start in a Jr. College and then transfer to a University after getting an AA. And just to be clear - a BA will not guarentee anyone a job. People need to go to trade school and specialize in fields where there is a need for that particular expertise.

Oh... and for money - hold down a job and stop looking for handouts. Sometimes I think the youth just aren't very creative or really willing to work when it comes to making money. Even a housekeeper in this area earns $25 an hour. 4 hours a day is $100. Not to bad for someone with few skills other then cleaning.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

You fall slightly outside the standard cookie-cutter libtard template. There is no reason to get upset at me because 99% of everyone who thinks like you has the same lack of judgment and inability to properly assign blame.

So what turned you into a libtard? Did you get your girlfriend pregnant, pay for an abortion, and then have her leave you, so it had to be Reagan's Fault?

5* and pin suggest.

But why blame the culture when you can blame those that got suckered into believing what it taught?

here's a clue for you old man. i never took out a college loan because i paid as i went. there were days when i lived on macaroni and butter just to make the tuition bill and buy books, all the while working two jobs and PAYING taxes, so fuck you and fuck your loans.

paying loans for TWENTY years? and you call me an idiot?
