I would be shocked if the CIA didn't have their own version of Mega Phone. If your agency track record includes the overthrow of sovereign governments, drug pushing, torture, assassination, and financial manipulation obviously the rule of law no longer applies to you.

What makes you think that in a country where we have enough laws to make damn sure every single person is breaking at least a dozen that they won't just scan your profile when they have decided you are a problem?

This way they can "just check" to make sure you aren't a terrorist (because they suspect you) and just happen to find the few laws you never heard about that you broke and then they have all they need to lock you up.

Yes, you're right. Still, I think it's an interesting statement on the current state of affairs and the perceptions of the people that it seems to be a default position that someone's a gub'mint troll come to deceive us. Besides, I think moving forward that's a useful thing.
