This was a clandestine OP if I've ever seen one. Coming from Guyana? Bars of Gold? Dilapidated fishing boat? Hmmm... I wonder what THAT was going to pay for? Kaiser Söze? LOOKS LIKE A CONVERTED TUG TO ME ! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28447870 I'm merely commenting on the shabby appearance and run down of the boat. I mean, I expected to see a decommissioned Naval vessel, or a yacht or something. Nearly 500 Lbs of gold is a lot to be carrying for fishermen moonlighting on the side... THX for the Pin! I was out fishing with all of my gold and silver bullion when a huge swell came and tipped my boat. I was able to save my fishing rods but my relics are at the bottom of the lake. |

Quoting: MyAffliction "Huggins declined to say who owned the boat or to provide any details about the possible source of the gold." Something smells "fishy" Indeed... This is a perfect looking "cover" boat to run operations without attracting attention. However, it would be difficult to trust the crew with soooo much temptation. Something definitely wrong here. I mean, if this was their business, then how about the Diamonds they would have been carrying? One of these days... A *REAL* rain is gonna come and wash all this scum off the streets. |

However, the official made it clear that no permission was given in recent times to have gold transported via sea out of Guyana. Snip;Huggins said it was a legal shipment that was being transshipped through Curacao and officials in the island had been advised in advance that it was coming as part of normal security protocols. He declined to disclose the eventual destination of the metal. “Authorities knew of the shipment because the official procedure was followed,” the spokesman said. Huggins said that guards to the port area let the assailants inside a restricted area in the mistaken belief that they were customs officials.
